The Chinese Institute of Electronics is a national, academic and non-profit social organization voluntarily formed and registered by the scientific and technological workers in the electronic information field and related enterprises and institutions.The society was founded in 1962. In July 2016, the society was approved as a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel.
According to the official website of the institute in March 2018, the institute has 12 expert committees, 8 working committees, 1 editorial committee, more than 100,000 individual members, more than 600 group members, and 47 professional chapters.
